Course Descriptions

This course is designed for students who want to learn how English words and phrases, including technical terms, are used in the actual world through your favorite subject Fundamental Physics.

The course will be provided in English (and partially Japanese). If your English skills are high, the course will be provided in full English (no Japanese).

If you are a good English speaker already and want to learn physics from the beginning, you will be welcome.

Major Topics to be Covered

• Motion along a straight line
• Motion in two and three dimensions
• Newton's law
• Energy and work
• Conservation of energy

Above topics will be covered. However, the progress depends.

Textbook

Will be provided by the instructor.

60 minutes x 6 times (finish within two months)

Pre-Requisition / Requirements

The following items are essential to participate in this course

• Finished Fundamental Physics in school in Japanese
• Eager to participate in the course
• Willing to discuss in English

The following items are preferred.

• English Test Pre-2 or equivalent

コース内容

物理基礎の用語なども含めて、英単語や言い回しが実際に英語でどのように使われているかを、物理基礎の内容を通して学びます。

授業は原則として英語で実施されますが、必要に応じて日本語で理解を助けます。十分な英語力があると認められた場合には、授業やその後の宿題やQ&A等もすべて英語で実施されます。

またすでに英語の方が日本語より堪能で、物理基礎の内容を１から学びたいという場合でも歓迎いたします。

主な内容

• 直線運動
• 2次元的・3次元的な運動
• ニュートンの法則
• エネルギーと仕事
• エネルギー保存則

上記のような内容をカバーしますが、理解度により進み具合は変わります。すべてを完了できない場合もあることをご承知おきください。

教科書

当方で準備します。

1回60分 x 6回 (2カ月以内で終了する予定です)

日時は相談して決めます。

受講にあたっての注意

• 日本の高校で物理基礎を学習済みであること（必須）
• 熱心に参加し積極的に英語で議論をする意思があること（必須）
• 英検準2級または相当以上（推奨）
