穴埋めを上手にすると、以下のような完成した文章になります。必ずしも一つの答えがあるわけではありませんが、いくつかのパターンがあると理解して下さい。

Dear Dr Sakurai,

I hope you are well. With many apologies for the delay, I am happy to report that the proofs for the 1st issue have been sent to the authors. Please find attached to this message the full issue proof.

I have asked the contributors to return corrections to you by 1st December and hope to send all 1st proof corrections to the typesetters by 5th December. Assuming there are not an extraordinary amount of corrections, we are on track to publish before the end of December.
