バケツをひっくり返したどころではない

It was raining so hard, people were jumping into the river to save themselves from drowning.

凄い大雨で、人々は溺れないようにと川に飛び込んでいた。

先生もいろいろと大変なのよ･･･

What I wanted to know when I was at school was why did the teachers get paid when it was the kids who did all the work?

学校に通っていた時に不思議だったのは、やらなくちゃいけないことを全部しているのは子供の方なのに、なんでお金を貰っているのが先生の方なのかということだった。

数字と現実の乖離
